Special Event
In Order to Properly Process Special Event Requests please select the Special Event Facility, not specific park locations.

A Special Event application is required for any request that will have  100 or more participants, food and/or merchandise vendors and requires any city services such as APD, EMS, Road Closures, Recycling, Permits or Licenses among other services.

Fee Schedule
APPLICATION FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE - FEE CAN BE PAID VIA CASH, CHECK (Payable to "City of Allentown"), or Credit Card *note there is a 3% processing fee when using a credit card form of payment*

Special Event Application Fee - $75.00
Block Party Application Fee - $25.00
*Provided that the event organizer is responsible to pick up and drop off barricades for the event

Late Fee - $25.00 (in addition to application fee)
*if application not received 60 days prior to to an event

Additional Fees For Various City Services May Apply (APD, EMS, Health, Etc.)

Street Closure Fee - $50.00
*All street closures require the Special Event Closure Petition and Street Closure Traffic Checklist to be completed

No Parking Signs- $10.00 per sign (extra meter charges may apply)
*All no parking signs are handled by the Allentown Parking Authority. Event organizers must contact APA (Christopher Morello at 610-841-8115 or morello@allentownparking.com)

All events that include a street closure will require barricades and/or cones and will be billed accordingly

Barricades - $6.00/each + equipment & labor for delivery at event
Traffic Cones - $3.00/each + equipment & labor for delivery at event 

Additionally, Fees will be charged for cleanup after an event:
Fastening any object to a tree, shrub, or natural amenity - $25.00 per occurrence

Replacement fee for barricades, traffic cones, recycling & trash containers will be charged as the city's cost to replace the equipment if its not returned by the event organizer.

Damage or destruction of glass, fields, or pathways; clean-up after an event(including street sweeping), will be billed to the event organizer at the cost of equipment, materials & labor for city staff to complete the work.
